3M High-Performance Masking Tape 232

Our 3M™ High Performance Masking Tape 232 helps create sharp paint lines in medium-temperature paint baking operations and removes 

cleanly, even from difficult-to-remove surfaces. The thick, creped paper backing contains a solvent-resistant saturant that resists penetration 

by latex and oil-based paints.

3M™ High Performance Masking Tape 232 is ideal for masking around corners and irregular surfaces. The rubber adhesive adheres instantly 

and provides strong holding power, resisting tearing, curling, and adhesive transfer upon removal from surfaces such as EPDM rubber moldings. 

This tape performs exceptionally well in demanding applications and is an excellent paint masking tape.

The thin paper backing is easy to tear, provides moderate conformability around corners and irregular surfaces, and removes cleanly. 

The natural rubber adhesive bonds well to paper, metal, wood, and painted surfaces, offering reliable holding power and conformability. 

Under normal operating conditions, 3M™ High Performance Masking Tape 232 removes in one piece without fiber delamination.

Masking tapes are specifically developed to help protect surrounding surfaces from paint overspray, provide sharp paint lines, and 

remove easily and cleanly after completion. 3M masking tapes offer good adhesion, resist solvents or water in paint, are strong 

enough to hold plastic sheeting, yet remove cleanly without damaging the underlying surface. The backing is typically thin paper, 

allowing for conformability to curves and irregular surfaces. This tape is hand-tearable and requires no tools for application.
