3M Double-Sided Adhesive Tape 4026

3M™ 4026 Polyurethane Foam Double-Sided Tape is a white, 0.0625-inch (1.6 mm) thick double-sided open-cell polyurethane

foam tape with high shear strength. It is suitable for applications such as indoor signs and nameplates, and the mounting of soap

dispensers and air fresheners.

Versatile Bonding

3M™ Double-Sided Polyurethane Foam Tape 4026 is 1/16 inch thick and coated with 3M™ Adhesive 100, providing strong,

long-lasting adhesion that works with the open-cell foam structure to produce high shear strength. This tape provides an ideal solution

for bonding to a variety of surfaces. The tape exhibits excellent environmental resistance in both interior and exterior applications.

The tape utilizes a conformable foam structure and adhesive that maintains its tackiness at temperatures up to 220°F (104°C).

It features a high-strength green grid densified kraft paper liner, demonstrating reliable performance in industrial applications

such as die-cutting and automated lamination. The liner helps reduce curling and protects the tape from extreme moisture.

Recommended Applications

Excellent environmental resistance in general interior and exterior mounting applications.

Mounting of interior signs and nameplates

Mounting of dispensers and air fresheners

Bonding of soundproofing panels to walls

Securing wire clips to various surfaces

Installation of corner protectors

Durable Bonding

3M™ 100 Adhesive is a strong acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive system with high ultimate bond strength, good temperature resistance,

solvent resistance, and excellent shear strength. Bond strength increases significantly with natural aging. 3M™ 100 Adhesive is known in

the industry for its environmental and chemical resistance. In many applications, this product series performs well when exposed to various

chemicals or temperatures. The adhesive provides excellent adhesion to metals and high surface energy plastics, while also offering good

temperature and chemical resistance.

Definition of Double-Sided Tape

Generally, double-sided tape consists of paper, film, or other substrates coated on both sides with a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

The adhesive is protected by a removable release liner, which can be removed or left in place before surface bonding.

The tape can be applied manually or with an automatic applicator. Double-sided tape applicators come in various configurations

(from manual to fully automatic). Double-sided tape is commonly used in construction, assembly, artwork, and personal hobbies.
